Imagine for a second that you were one of the original human beings. This is before technology, before language, before books, before society. Before everything that you have come to learn about being a human being on earth through other people's experiences, including your own. What would be the meaning of life from that perspective?
It would not be possible to answer this question, you don't even have the words to ask it. That's the point though, you answer the question by just living life and finding meaning in the experiences. Words are just tools we use to define local phenomena happening on earth and in the universe. Because people have existed before you, these people have shared there experiences in order to leave behind the answer to this question. The problem though, in my opinion, is that the answer to this question is subjective. People can arrive to similar conclusions, have similar experiences...but can never go through the exact same thing. So life is going to mean something different for everybody. You could read a book or let someone answer this question for you, some books need to be read. I think if you want to know the answer to this question though, live your life and find out.

What is money? A sheet of paper that we deem to be more valuable than ourselves. How? You end up changing your entire life around to obtain it. Do things that you probably dislike in order to get it, and probably don't know why you really do the things. The funny thing is though, money itself isn't even valuable. We don't realize that we are the thing of value that we need money for. Everything that we spend money on is a product of the human mind bringing things into existence. If people didn't go to work, money would have no value to us. It's the experiences and products we create that have value. Money is a just a medium we use to exchange for those products and experiences. In fact, if our species were mature we would create these things for "free". If you can "see" through money, you'll actually realize that we do build humanity for free. Society just makes you believe we're paying for it because of how it's designed. The ultimate illusion created by humans for humans that control human behavior. Money seems to decide the future of humanity in some ways. In conclusion, money is an illusion of value that brainwashes and disciplines people into sustaining a system. Usually, whether you want to or not.
So a lot of us have probably asked this question at one time or another. Is death the end? When you really think about the question it actually derives from a selfish, shallow perspective. You're not asking if when you die does existence itself end...you're asking if when you die, do you stop being conscious completely.
There was some information that I came across that somewhat explains this. I'm not saying it's true or false, I'm just giving you the opportunity to become conscious of it. But you know for a fact that death is not the end completely, because people die everyday yet life still goes on. The pandemic(corona virus) doesn't really change fundamental facts...it's really the same thing just a different moment in human history. As far as what happens to YOU when you die, you would have to ask yourself what are you? If you believe in an afterlife, you would have to assume that there is more to you than your physical existence. I don't really "believe" in an afterlife, let alone the word "believe". Either the after life is something that exists or it doesn't, independent of what I believe or think. Becoming conscious of ideas or beliefs stir up mental activity, but believing things to be true is not the same as realizing it. Life from the perception of what you are is just you awakening to the universe as a physical being known as human. What happens to you when you die? I can't really tell you that, we are all just illusions of human consciousness anyway. If you're still conscious after death you're definitely no longer human. Life goes on though, you're just no longer conscious of the event. |
